BRITTNEY RAND is a Producer, Composer and Performer, residing in Vancouver, British Columbia. Utilizing her formal training in Digital Music Production for Film & Gaming, Rand became the founder member of electronic duo Mu in 2013. In 2016, Mu went on to release their second album II via Boompa Records, which gained traction online and in DJ communities, garnered international press, and several sync placements. After touring, performing and producing music for several years in Mu, Rand founded her solo electronic outfit CHERRIE LAUREL, independently releasing A Furnace, A Fire in 2018. In 2020, CHERRIE LAUREL released The Silence Files Vol. I, an ongoing mixtape series of contemporary meditation and ambient music for a “contemporary quarantined species”.
